Michiel specialises in corporate and securities law. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private and public capital raisings, and other corporate transactions. He has developed particular expertise in private equity and financial markets regulations.
He also regularly advises in related areas of corporate and financial law, including governance, joint ventures, and corporate litigation.
Michiel became an attorney at Eubelius and a member of the Brussels Bar in 2016.
Michiel obtained his law degree at the University of Antwerp in 2016. In 2024, Michiel also obtained his PhD at the University of Antwerp with a dissertation on equity subscription, conversion, and preference rights.
Michiel is associated with the Research Group Business & Law at the University of Antwerp. Michiel also regularly authors contributions in specialised publications and is a frequent speaker at seminars in the areas of company and financial law.
